The BlackBerry Playbook is capable of pairing with any Bluetooth mouse or keyboard. This can turn a tradition tablet experience into a very productive pc-like experience. The PlayBook, however, relies on a number of gesture-based interactions to operate. Not only does the screen allow for gestural input, but the frame around the screen does as well. This method of interacting with the device is extremely powerful within the context of tablet use but does not translate well to mouse “point & click” input. Therefore, a way to visually and functionally translate the core gesture controls to mouse use is essential.
